Suffolk Haus began with the stone. The owner came to us with a selection she absolutely loved, which gave us a strong starting point to build the broader materials palette for the home. We worked with incredible natural stone from Franca, selecting different stones for different rooms while maintaining a sense of connection throughout.
From there, we layered dark timber joinery, textured wall finishes, bronze finishes, warm neutrals around the stone. The kitchen combines the statement jade island with dark cabinetry and a more understated stone along the back run, allowing the island to remain the hero. A custom illuminated arched niche and curved display shelving add another layer to the space, creating areas for styling while bringing softness to the joinery.
The bathrooms continue the material story, each with its own distinctive natural stone and detailing. Rather than repeating the same finishes from room to room, we used the stone selections to give each space its own identity, tying them together through consistent timber tones, iron bronze tapware, sculptural lighting and warm finishes. The result is a home with plenty of personality and beautiful material moments, while still feeling cohesive from one space to the next.
TESTIMONIAL
“Love Ky and the whole team. We are still in the process of building but have all our design inspiration drawings and technical plans for the project. They have taken the vision of our home to the next level and beyond and cannot wait to see it all come together.
Great communication and everything done in a very timely manner.
If we ever move and have another project we would have no hesitation in using Studio Haus again.”
